So there’s another latest twist in the soap opera that is Blackburn Rovers. Steve Kean who is now quite literally the worst manager Blackburn Rovers have ever had since…. well ever is set to given a new contract by our Indian owners Venkys.

In my opinion and I hope I speak for my follow Rovers fans is that this is the most idiotic, dumb striking idea that I have ever heard of from our most beloved club.

I know there is one fan who regularly speaks of a legacy that Jack Walker instilled in the club when he took over as major shareholder and owner of the club in 1991, in which time we have been promoted to the Premier League, won it and been relegated in 8 years amazing.

That legacy and love for the club that Jack built is there in every Blackburn Rovers supporters hearts and eyes.

For some this is more than just a place to go every Saturday. To some this is their little pot of gold at the end of the rainbow and maybe the only thing that is maybe good in their lives at a hugely depressing time in the world with the economy collapsing and with jobs and funding being cut it`s hard to see what else there is left to smile about.

Whilst we can`t help the crisis in the world we can try and have an input in our community club. This is how football clubs got started by communities and people who loved to be a part of it.

Jack Walker knew this, he was a local man. Born and brought up in the town, loved the football club, he worked in the town, built a business in the town and sold it and invested his earned millions in to taking his local team back to the big time.

I am not going to go into what happens next because we all know.

But today we find ourselves in a bigger mess than we`ve ever been in. It boils down to the fact that supporters of the club are not being listened to by the owners, or even acknowledged.

Yes Venkys might own or have the mortgage to the title deeds to the stadium, the training ground, the academy , the club shops and the Blues Bar… But who do they need to go in to these places and keep them above board?

he supporters are vital, we’re their customers and when customers are unhappy what normally happens is that things change.

They haven`t.

So far there have been protest marches and sit ins, banners of all shapes and sizes appearing not just at Ewood Park and English stadia.

One even made the clubs recent game in Pune, right in owners faces (I still owe the person who sorted that out a half – I did say times are tight). But still changes have not occurred…

AND WHAT’S NEXT??? Your guess is as good as mine in this crazy world we live in…
