Early goals may cost us top ten finish

It has been an achilles heel for us all season and something that may end up costing us a top ten finish.

It may not have struck everybody but at a count in the league we have conceded 12, yes thats 12 goals in the first fifteen minutes of matches.

That is a staggering figure and perhaps explains why a lot of games have been drawn when maybe potentially they could have been a maximum 3 point haul.

Luckily enough, in games at home at Ewood Park, such as the ones against Aston Villa and the hugely ‘impressive’ Burnley, we have been able to turn a losing position into a winning one.

But such as in the game like the one at the weekend against Everton, Rovers are left with a massive uphill battle to get into a winning position due to the concession of an early goal.

Early goals also set the tone for matches in the Premier League all to often as well.

Games such as Stoke away and Man City away have started with early goals and heads have been dropped in the Blue and White shirts.

Infact, for a team that is so organised the rate of early goals conceded is quite astonishing!
