Egyptian midfielder Ahmed Al-Muhammadi is understood to be starting a trial with Blackburn Rovers today.

The 21-year-old Egyptian International is not the first Egyptian to have been linked with Rovers over the years, Wael Gomaa (pictured above, and just one of several) was heavily mooted with a switch to Rovers a couple of years back and even did an interview with Vital Blackburn!!! Al-Muhammadi has claimed that Paul Ince has requested he come to England so Rovers can have a closer look at Enppi midfielder ahead of what the wide midfielder (as he is described) believes could be a permanent transfer to Ewood Park in January.

Al-Muhammadi told FilGoal.com: “I will fly to England on Thursday for a trial with Blackburn, upon the request of their manager.

“Coach Ince wanted to see me before opening talks with my club regarding a transfer in the winter break.

Ince has been keen on bringing in new players for some time, but with finances tight with Rovers (as they are with everyone) he doesn’t have a lot to play with so what sort of fee the 20 times capped International will command (if Rovers are interest) isn’t known?!?!

  • Personally I’ve never heard of the dude, has anyone else? If so what’s he like, could he be the player that “Coach Ince” and we are looking for?!?!

  • Coach Ince – is he American?!?! lol I feel that Ince is doing the right thing here, get all the ground work in early before January, then you know who we do and dont want.

  • hey lads,i m an egyptian n id like 2 provide u with some info
he’s a youngster with bags of talent and only 21 years old
plays as a right winger but with the egyptian NT,mostly he takes the RB role as egypt prefer the 3-5-2 formation
got the pace, strength and mentality to be a premierleague player
yet,in my opinion he needs a lil time 2 mature
once linked with real madrid 2 years ago i guess
so if adapts quickly with the english game, then don’t be surprised if he made an impressive impact as Amr Zaki
    all the best:)

  • m glad 2 help 😀
latest news there, the authorities in cairo airport prevented muhammedi from taking the plane heading to england due to military service related issues! hope it won’t take too long

  • true mani… there are a few trialists on the way. Ince is approaching January in the right way. We need a win… thats all it will take and we can go on a roll. Lets hope it is tomorrow.
