Egyptian midfielder Ahmed Al-Muhammadi is understood to be starting a trial with Blackburn Rovers today.

The 21-year-old Egyptian International is not the first Egyptian to have been linked with Rovers over the years, Wael Gomaa (pictured above, and just one of several) was heavily mooted with a switch to Rovers a couple of years back and even did an interview with Vital Blackburn!!! Al-Muhammadi has claimed that Paul Ince has requested he come to England so Rovers can have a closer look at Enppi midfielder ahead of what the wide midfielder (as he is described) believes could be a permanent transfer to Ewood Park in January.

Al-Muhammadi told FilGoal.com: “I will fly to England on Thursday for a trial with Blackburn, upon the request of their manager.

“Coach Ince wanted to see me before opening talks with my club regarding a transfer in the winter break.

Ince has been keen on bringing in new players for some time, but with finances tight with Rovers (as they are with everyone) he doesn’t have a lot to play with so what sort of fee the 20 times capped International will command (if Rovers are interest) isn’t known?!?!
