Rovers midfielder Dickson Etuhu has admitted his frustration over how the first two years of his Ewood Park career have panned out, and is looking at next term as a potential fresh start.

Etuhu has been out for long spells as he challenges prolific physio room occupant Vince Grella for the title of most injured Blackburn player in history. But after signing a FOUR year deal with the club back in the summer of 2012, Etuhu has insisted he wants to start playing a better part.

“Even when I signed, I was not fit (well Steve and Shebby),’ Etuhu told the Lancashire Telegraph.

“I had missed a pre-season as I wanted to leave Fulham. I have never been myself and never been fit.

“The fans have only seen 50 per cent of me as a player. I am just hoping I can have a full pre-season and then the fans will get to see my qualities.

“I have played for a few teams but this is the one club I have not left my mark and before I leave this place, I have got to do that.

“I have business here I need to deal with and I am looking forward to doing that next year.”

Whether Dickson will get the chance as with the player being on Premier League wages and offering little more than dodgy cameos to date, the club won’t exactly cry themselves to sleep if the player can find himself a new home.
