Blackburn Rovers wanted what Bournemouth and Watford achieved and what Brentford, Ipswich Town, Middlesbrough and Norwich City are battling for, promotion!!

We couldn’t manage this and in the end we ended up falling someway short of Champions Bournemouth and runners up Watford, we might have ended in the top ten but also ended well adrift of the next four and the play-offs as well!! Rovers have gained an award though due to a Football League Family Excellence Award for the 2014/2015 season, with us one of forty-two clubs to be recognised for our experiences at Ewood Park enjoyed by young fans and families.

Rovers Director of Communications Alan Myers told The Official Blackburn Rovers Website: “The Family Excellence Award is important as it assesses everything other than the football on a matchday.

“The benchmark increases year on year in order to achieve the award, therefore we can’t be complacent and must continue to strive to go the extra mile each season.

For an Eighth-year running Doncaster Rovers, Huddersfield Town, Ipswich, MK Dons, Shrewsbury Town and Tranmere Rovers were awarded with such an award.
