The Rovers could still make Europe and Birmingham could even be relegated with a win… all to play for.

The game is available on sky with the interactive service so everyone can join in the fun. Even people who have to watch at silly o’clock, such as Sasman, can get a piece of the action.

Rovers must rely on West Ham denying Aston Villa victory and winning themselves if they are to secure an intertoto spot for next season.

Mikey is predicting that Rovers will start with the same XI that put in their routine bad first half performance in before improving vatsly after the break… a staple of Rovers this season.

Birmingham Team News:

Alex McLeish is sweating on the fitness of two key players before naming his side for the make-or-break showdown.

Defender Liam Ridgewell came off at half-time during the defeat by Fulham last weekend after sustaining an ankle injury.

Striker James McFadden has suffered a reaction following surgery to his knee, although McLeish is still hopeful he will be able to play on regardless.

Player to watch: Sebastien Larsson

Really good player with dynamite free kicks. A graduate of the Arsenal youth team that featured a certain David Bentley.

Can make an impression from long range so Rovers will need to be wary of that.

Blackburn Team News:

Rovers are hoping to have striker Benni McCarthy back in contention after he missed their last two matches with a hamstring injury, even if fit J-Rob should start up front.

Chrissy Samba played the full 90 minutes of last weekend’s 3-1 win over Derby after a thigh problem and is again set to start alongside Captain Nelsen at the back.

Player to watch: Roque Santa Cruz

Needs one more goal to be the first Rovers’ player since Alan Shearer in 1996 to score 20 goals in a Premier League season.

Has been a revelation in his first season in English football and has shown us he CAN use his feet as well as his head.

Ref Watch:

Howard Webb… whats this?? A half decent ref for once?!?!? (tocuh wood).

Match Prediction:

I’m going to be optimistic and say we’re going to win. I think it’ll be tense and Rovers will need to weather the storm for the first 20 minutes.

But I’m going to say 1-0. Mr Cruz will get the goal.

Next Fixtures:

There isn’t one. 3 months of boredom here we come.
