Finally, finally…

Get ready. This is pretty much the equivalent of the apocalypse.

After over a month of searching Blackburn Rovers are set to announce their new manager within the next day.

The interview process draws to a conclusion today after speaking to a shortlist of managers over the space of the last few days.

We are believed to be down to a final shortlist of three – Ian Holloway, Henning Berg and Harry Redknapp.

Harry is widely reported to be at Ewood today for talks over the position but is still rated as unlikely given his anticipated salary demands and transfer budget requests.

But Blackpool boss Holloway and currently unemployed former Rover Berg are also candidates even if Holloway may prove difficult to remove from his current role by the Seaside.

Reports linking Diego Maradona to the role are (well) wide of the mark and the likes of Simon Grayson and Karl Robinson have been removed from potential consideration.

Global Advisor Shebby Singh had previously announced on the Footballers Football Show that a manager would be in place come the middle of this week. And for a refreshing change we seem to be in a position to live up to our word.

But who will it be?
