The Blackburn fixtures for the 2016/17 Championship season were recently announced with the first changes made.

We’ll of course see a number of further changes after this one.

The league matches against Huddersfield, Leeds, Burton, Preston and Nottingham Forest have had changes to the kick-off times and in some cases the day too.

Due to kick-off at 3pm this Championship match at Huddersfield has seen the start time brought forward. Blackburn will still head to the John Smith’s Stadium on the final day of 2016 but this New Years Eve match will now have a 12:30pm kick-off.

Leeds were due at Ewood Park on Tuesday 31st January but as rivals Burnley are at home on the same night this has been move to Wednesday 1st February with this retaining a 7:45pm kick-off.

A first ever match at Burton’s Pirelli Stadium (following them being promoted from League 1 last season) has also been changed from Saturday 25th February at 3pm with this brought forward to Friday 24th February at 7:45pm.

Police advice has seen the match against Preston being played at Ewood brought forward from 3pm to a 1pm kick-off but this is still being played on Saturday 18th March though.

The last fixture change for now (we will see others) has seen Blackburn’s Easter trip to Nottingham Forest moved from Saturday 15th April at the City Ground to Friday 14th April with the kick-off being 3pm on Good Friday.
