Gary Bowyer must be a gluten for punishment?

He had it difficult enough at Blackburn with the restrictions he had to work to and owners he worked under but you could argue he’s got it worse at Blackpool!

Bowyer has taken on the task at Blackpool with him confirmed as the new boss of the League 2 side, in doing so he becomes the eighth man to take on the Bloomfield Road hot seat since 2012.

The former Blackburn boss replaces another man who is familiar with Rovers as Neil McDonald worked alongside Sam Allardyce during his spell at Ewood Park, although he was sacked by Blackpool following relegation from League 1 last season.

We think we’ve got it bad but just five-years ago Blackpool were in the Premier League they’ll now be in the bottom tier of the Football League, dropping to that level for the first time in 15-years.

Good luck to Bowyer, who has signed a one-year rolling contract, you feel he’ll need it….then again we also need luck!
