Doncaster Rovers manager Dean Saunders is giving Blackburn Rovers` former France Under-21 international midfielder Herold Goulon a week`s trial.

The third Blackburn Rovers player in as many weeks to be looked at by the Championship based club following El Hadji Diouf and snapped up defender Pascal Chimbonda.

Goulon joined Rovers 12 months ago on a two-year contract under then manager Sam Allardyce following a trial period at Ewood Park, but has only played four first team games and has been told that he can speak to other clubs available on a free transfer.

Goulon who had trials in France and Germany over the summer will hope he can win a deal to stay in England and rediscover his career.

Goulon, and other reported targets for Doncaster Rovers, will play in private practice games against Sheffield Wednesday (tomorrow) and Manchester United on Friday.
