First Half

The first shot on target for Fulham resulted in a goal. On the 2nd min,Dempsey outmuscled Samba, followed by Nelsen to score against a helpless Robinson.

Fulham 1-0 Rovers

We ended the first half with 2 shots on target giving Fulham 3 shots on target.

Diouf got booked for complaining too much right after the whistle.

Murphy got booked on the 52th min for a lousy tackle.

First Rovers substitute came in the 56th min when McCarthy came on for Andrews.

Player Ratings

Paul Robinson – 6
Didn’t really have to make any important saves other than the one in the dying minutes.

Ryan Nelsen – 5.5
A bad day for the skipper. Caught out of position at times.

Chris Samba – 6
A good assist from the big man to recover from his mistake early in the game.

Andre Ooijer – 6
Didn’t have much to do in the game.

Gael Givet – 7
We’re begining to see class from him. Very hopeful Rover next season.

Stephan Warnock – 6
Played well but really unlucky not to score at all

Tugay – 6
Did okay to distribute the ball around.

Keith Andrews – 6
Invisible man for the game.

Morten Gamst Pedersen – 7
Showed class to put the correct crosses in.

El Hadji Diouf – 7
I’m convinced by today’s performance that he’ll hold the right flank even when Emerton returns.

Jason Roberts – 7
Finally scored a goal with a nice twist that totally out-played the defender

Benni McCarthy – 6
Needs to start in order to make things work. Don’t leave him on the bench anymore!

Aaron Mokoena – 6
Contributed nothing in particular.
Contributed nothing in particular.

We’re out of the relegation zone. Next game will be against Arse,it might be a tad too difficult? Nevertheless,it was a good performance by the lads today and the next game would be a big test of our resolution. Go Rovers!!!!!

  • i definately do not agree with those ratings! warnock was brilliant by far the best player on the pitch shuda got 8….. nelsen 5.5?? i put him up there for motm 7! andrews shoulda got a 4 he was nowhere, and when he went off, we were dominant! i also think the fans should be rated on this one… because i realy do think they affected it massively sooo……………………………………………….
    THE FANS….10!

  • The fans at the game were brilliant. Sadly I did not get to go due to stupid work but they all did us proud. Really lifted the team. The Rovers fans have stepped up a gear in the last few weeks.

  • A bit harsh with the rating there Helda don’t you think dude?!?! I know we don’t like to overdo it with ratings as it can be seen as a biased opinion, but mostly 6 is a touch harsh? Good read though nevertheless!

  • warock an 8 for me, but for inspired goalkeeping from the aussie he would of bagged a couple and took the fight to fulham, still think that andrews should not be in the team and we should play two up front, yes roberts grabbed the winner but its about time, his wasted chances in front of goal have been costly this season, and that helps a little for making up for some of them but not all of them, lets all hope he can find the net on a regurlar basis between now and the end of the season and keep us up

  • I didn’t manage to catch the game. What kind of football were we playing. I see Hodgson described it as “long ball”, but I would have expected us to be looking wide if Diouf and Gamst were looking good?

  • Watched a re-run of the game today. Good second half comeback and i knew Roberts would soon come good again. A valuable three points but it’s still a dog fight in the lower regions.

  • It was a direct style of play. I wouldnt say it was long ball at all. Diouf and gamst were using the wings well as most of the attacking play was directed out there. There were some big punts from Robbo but no more than usual.

  • Robbo has always has a tendency to hoof everything passed back to him. Sometimes I do wish he’d just look up and spread it to Givet or Ooijer

  • trying to find the highlights of the match online. it’s interesting that warnock is shaping to be a real force in the midfield.

  • dude… its the way god intended. just click on Premier League on the left hand side. Help yourself.

  • thanks mikey. i know that site, but i was too busy to visit the site and i didn’t expect them to have blackburn highlight given all the other “big” games that were going on. you know how it goes.
