Gallagher Braced For Rovers Exit

Blackburn Rovers striker Paul Gallagher was being given one final chance to prove himself at Ewood Park, despite scoring goals in Pre-Season this isn’t likely to be enough to save him.

Gallagher (a supporter of Rovers since he was a boy) has never wanted to leave Ewood but has always been on the fringes of things for Rovers being sent out on loan repeatedly, however, Sam Allardyce had said that Gally would be given one final chance to prove himself.

Personally I’ve never expected Gally to be given a chance this season and the arrivals of Franco Di Santo and Nikola Kalinic (who is understood to have agreed a deal subject to a work permit) have seen his chances, which had increased following the departures of Roque Santa and Matt Derbyshire rapidly decrease again and the Lancashire Telegraph understands that the 24-year-old is resigned to his fate.

Bristol City, Derby County and Preston North End are just a few of the Championship clubs that are all interested in the striker who is now expected to leave Ewood for good. Personally I’ll be sad to see Gally go (assuming he does??) but have been expecting this for a long time and was never sold on the thoughts that Allardyce shared that Gally would get his chance this season. Maybe he still will?? I’d VERY much doubt this though!!
