Plymouth Argyle top scorer Paul Gallagher and Alan Judge could end up playing for Blackburn Rovers in the Premier League for the end of the campaign.

Both are on loan in the deep south and both have impressed but the league season for Argyle finishes with 3 games remaining in the Premier League.

Rovers, who are hit with key injuries at the wrong time, could call upon the services of Gallagher and Judge to help the Blue and Whites out.

Gallagher told Sky Sports – ‘(Argyle manager) Paul Sturrock has told me he has had a letter from Blackburn saying me and Alan Judge are being called back after the last game of the season.

‘Maybe they are going to involve us in the last few games.’

Gallagher has one more year on his contract at Blackburn and has been linked away from the club with repeat loan moves being a feature of his Rovers stay.

Judge, meanwhile, signed an fresh deal with Rovers shortly before arriving at Home Park on loan in January.

The Scottish striker is still up in the air about where he will be playing next term. ‘When the summer comes, I will know more,’ said Gallagher. ‘That’s all I can say really because I haven’t thought about it.

‘We are in a little bit of a fight here and I can only concentrate on one thing at a time,’ he said.

‘I don’t want to look too far ahead. I want to try to keep Plymouth in this league – the same as every player in that changing room.’

Rovers desperately need bodies in the mix as we reach the crunch portion of the season, particularly with Jason Roberts and Croque out. Matty Derbyshire out on loan doesnt help either!

After the Championship season finishes, Blackburn have a home game against Portsmouth and a trip to Chelsea before hosting West Bromwich Albion on May 24.
Gallagher hopes he could be involved in some of the action for Rovers.

Gally, said – ‘Touch wood, there is a chance of that. I think Judgey and me have done ourselves justice down here. ‘We have come here and done well, and when you look at Blackburn, they are struggling a little bit at the minute. They have got some top quality players, but I think quite a few are out injured, such as (Roque) Santa Cruz and (Jason) Roberts.

‘Hopefully, Judgey and me will go back and the manager (Sam Allardyce) will give us a chance to prove that we might be good enough to stay.’

This is good news for Gally in particular as the position he plays in is where we need help the most.
