Get ready for crazy time

Well there was never this much activity when we were in the Premier League!

Months spent scrapping round the bargain bucket of the elite shopping mall and hours spent salivating over non-information and idle gossip without substance.

But the reshaping job that comes with relegation has forced even the most stingy of owners into action and this week is shaping up to be a productive one to say the least.

Up to four new faces are expected to sign on the dotted line to become Rovers players in the space of the next few days with a few also expected to leave.

On the incoming side of transactions the club are expected to announce the capture of striker Leon Best and winger Fabio Nunes as early s today. Both are in town for medicals having been persuaded Rovers are there best options.

The Best capture in particular is a fairly impressive sales job with Norwich and Southampton both alternatives for the Drake lookalike. But he has been persuaded to drop back into the Championship and don the blue and white.

Elsewhere reports in Portugal have confirmed that Portugal striker Nuno Gomez has agreed a two year deal with the club and he is due to complete his move over the course of the next 72 hours.

Adrien Silva (it’s a Portugal revolution!) is also favouring a move to East Lancashire and the suits are confident he will also be a Rover come the end of the week with him even preferring a switch to us over the likes of Marseille and Porto who have enquired about his availability.

This begs two questions – What are we feeding these players? And can I have some?

Unfortunately the joy should be subsided with news of the departure of Paul Robinson who is all set to swap chickens for Turkey (thanks I’m here all week) with a move to Beskitas for the rather paltry sum of £1 million.

This week should also be the week that the club finds out where the current crop of players stands. It has become fairly common knowledge that Martin Olsson is looking to move on with the likes of Gael Givet, Mauro Formica and Scott Dann also due to inform the club of their intentions.

It’s going to be an interesting week to say the least…
