Its been a while, but after a relaxing off season, Sas is on his interviewing tour, and where better to start then only a few miles away from Blackpool, the land of the seasisders!

Step up, Luke5045!

1) Welcome aboard mate. So who is Luke5045, what does he do, and why Rovers?

Well, to my knowledge, I was the 5045th person to register on Ebay with the first name of Luke. I have used this name for everything I register to on the T`interweb ever since (if anyone ever figures out my password? I`m screwed ;))

I was born in Blackpool and live a couple of miles away in a place called Poulton-le-Fylde, and although I`ve always observed how the Seasiders do from a distance, my passion is Blackburn Rovers!

This all started about 14 years ago (I am now 22) when my dad took me to see my first Rovers game versus Spartak Moscow in the Champions League, where we lost 1-0. I went to see a few more games after that and from then on, I was hooked, and have been fortunate enough to own a season ticket ever since!

recently graduated with a degree in Accountancy and begin a new job soon! In my spare time I like to DJ for fun and produce my own songs.

2)Regardless of the pending result of the takeover bids, is Sam Allardyce the man to take us forward?

About 6 months ago I may have said otherwise, but I think we should stick with the big man. I think he has done a tremendous job with the resources available and I like to see a manager who isn`t afraid to give youth a chance. Takeover or not, Big Sam is the man to lead us forwards as I think he has proven himself more than capable when you compare how we were when he took charge, and how wWill Nikola Kalinic develop to be our 15 goal striker this season? Do you think he can hold the frontline for us?e are now; a top ten team who can only look up and improve on last season`s effort.

3)Some will say we over achieved last season. Others will say we under achieved. What do you think?

I think a lot more would say we over achieved last season, but I am of the opinion we finished just about where we deserved. It is a competitive league and this is made even more so by all the money that is thrown about by some of the teams that we sit beneath. I think some Rovers fans were justified in feeling frustrated at the slow start we had, but I think we did well for what we had and things picked up!

Our away form has been well documented. Results such as the 3-0 defeat to stoke, and our inability to place the ball in the area between the joined 3 white sticks when we`re on somebody else`s turf, needs to be improved.

he grass was much greener at fortress Ewood though, with our unbeaten record against ‘those four teams` being an admirable achievement.

4)Will Nikola Kalinic develop to be our 15 goal striker this season? Do you think he can hold the frontline for us?

It`s been unfortunate for Niko in that he hasn`t had the minutes on the pitch in pre-season due to injury and I feel it will take him a few games for him to get to full match sharpness. Niko needs a partner (on the pitch, that is) to play with (again, on the pitch ;)) week in, week out. All good strikers need good providers. On too many occasions last season Niko received the ball with his back to goal, and whilst he is more than capable of doing this, this is not a goal-getting tactic. Someone else needs to share this responsibility and it would be nice to see us play two up front this season. With the current system, we just don`t create enough chances for Niko to get that number, but I think with a regular strike partner and a bit more creation, he can become that 15-goal-a-season man that we need!

5)From the players still on the books, who would you bid farewell to?

Hmm, I`ll start at the back and work to the frontline (if you can call it that!). Firstly, we have 4 goalkeepers?is that too much? Robbo`s a keeper (sorry, couldn`t help myself) we`ve got one for the future in Frankie Fielding. Couldn`t really pick out of Brown and Bunn as not seen enough of Bunn to make a decision but at least this is an area where we are well covered! Out of the defense, I think I would say, ‘have a nice day` to either Jacobsen or Chimbonda, as we currently have four right backs. I think Chimbo has shown us a little bit more going down the flanks and gives us a better option going forward. Goodbye Lars! Midfield: I would have to go for Grella, I just don`t think we have had much value for those millions and his departure would give us some leeway in the wage budget. Forwards: As we all know, we are indeed in no position to be offloading any strikers, but it looks as though J-Rob the bulldozer may be on his way out shortly. I would be for this, especially considering the amount of times you hear ‘uhh Roberts` ring out form the Ewood terraces! Another two need bringing in though!

6) Of the 3 promoted clubs, which, if any, will survive the drop, and shock some teams.

Obviously, I would love to see local boys Blackpool stay up, but I think there`s more chance of meeting Hitler in heaven than that happening, so unfortunately, I have to right them off . Out of the other two, I think West Brom might stay up.

7)Predictions! Who will win the EPL, who will get relegated, and where will our Rovers finish!

I can`t see much changing with regards to positions in the league. People talk about Chelsea being an ageing squad, but they, to me, are still the team to beat. Manyoo will push them close again, followed by Arsenal and Citeh. Relegation: Blackpool, Newcastle, Bolton. As much as I`d hate to see two north west teams bow out and would very much like to see the Hammers blow bubbles in the Championship, they always bloody escape don`t they! As for Rovers, the title? Champions League spot? I think I`ll wait until next season for that 😉 For now, I`m going for a slight improvement on last season and say 8-9th.

Superb stuff! Il take 8th to 9th spot if we can get it!!

Cheers for this, hope everybody enjoys the read.
