Rovers are getting a little deeper into the brown stuff as the Gael Givet/Tax saga continues to rumble on.

Rovers are understandably mad keen to settle an issue which is causing a lot more harm than good.

Givet is claiming that the club have to pay his tax bill as he was not made aware that the tax would be his liability to pay in his contract as he didn’t understand the clause and assumed the club would be paying.

But either way, the club want a speedy resolution as the issue is creating a big cloud over the survival bid.

The Lancashire Telegraph is saying – ‘Rovers will continue talks with Givet`s representatives this week.

While a permanent resolution to who is responsible for settling a tax bill may have to wait for the summer, they will seek to reach an agreement that will allow the player to focus on his football.

Should Givet and his representatives stick to their guns and decide to take Rovers to a Premier League tribunal the issue will continue to rumble on until the summer, but Kean knows the importance of having everyone focused on the scrap for survival.’

Sort it out chaps!
