Rovers manager Steve Kean has got mixed news to tackle prior to the visit of free scoring Manchester City tomorrow.

The positive news is that Gael Givet is fine after his injury scare at Newcastle last week and David Goodwillie also available after a couple of games out which adds to the rather thin striking options.

However Scott Dann and Michel Salgado are both big doubts as neither has trained all week with knocks.

Furthermore Martin Olsson is definitely out as he serves a one match suspension after his sending off in the previous game.

Kean told Rovers.co.uk – ‘We’ve got a few that are touch and go, Scott Dann hasn’t trained all week, Michel Salgado hasn’t trained all week, so we’ll leave those until the last minute.

‘The good thing is that Gael Givet has trained, even though he had a heavy knock in the last game at Newcastle, he’s come through this week.

‘Ryan Nelsen is a little closer, David Dunn is a little closer, so we are getting people on the mend.’

Rovers starting line up will be from – Robinson, Salgado, Samba, Dann, Givet, Hoilett, Lowe, Nzonzi, Formica, Yakubu, Bunn, Hanley, Grella, Pedersen, Petrovic, Rochina, Goodwillie, Roberts, Vukcevic, Slew.
