After what seemed to be a never ending saga, Rovers have finally completed the signing of David Goodwillie from Dundee United. The fee which is officially undisclosed is believed to be around £2.8 million including add ons.

The Scottish international has signed a 4 year deal at the club, with wages believed to be in the region of £25,000 p/w.

Goodwillie will train with Rovers before traveling back up to Scotland where he will join up with fellow Rover Grant Hanley in Craig Levein’s Scotland squad for their international friendly against Denmark in Glasgow next Wednesday.

The striker could make his Rovers debut against Kilmarnock next week, and will defiantly be ready to face Wolves on the opening day of the season.
