A strange one this morning. Reports are coming in saying that Vinny Grella could be out for up to two weeks after pulling up with a sore muscle during the game with Germany.

The Aussie midfielder is no stranger to the treatment table and his lay off could prove the end of his World Cup campaign.

Two weeks out could take him up to the Quarter Finals of the summer extravaganza and with the Aussies struggling to qualify it could be the end of the dream. Nothing to strange happening here you say – sit tight my friends.

There were also conflicting reports of a run in that Vince had with the Oz national manager Pim Verbeek as well.

Vince is said in some quarters to have unloaded both barrels on the Aussie manager at half time in the 4-0 loss last week, resulting in both player and manager having face on with each other (as we say in Yorkshire).

It is fair to say it has not gone so far for Grella – if the injury story is true then he is only a sprained testicle away from suffering every major injury a man can suffer in his lifetime.
