Hadji Thinks Rovers Need The Sam Mentality

El Hadji Diouf wants Rovers to adopt the winning mentality of the Rovers boss – Sam Allardyce.

Sam has built a reputation on grinding out results and doing whatever it takes to win. Whether you like the guy or not that much is true.

Diouf, who played under Sam at Bolton, feels the attitude is slowly rubbing off on the players but there is enough talent in the squad to claim Premier League safety.

Hadji, speaking to Rovers.co.uk, said – ‘I know the gaffer has a winning mentality, we need the same. We can’t play football for just 45 minutes, we need to play for the full 90 minutes,’

‘But I know the gaffer and the staff will sort that out quickly.

‘We need to keep going, we have a lot of talented players, we have a good team.

‘We just need to keep believing in ourselves and we can get the three points against Tottenham.’

‘When we play at home we need to have a winning mentality and play the sort of football like we did in the second half against West Ham.”

For a man that often comes across like a wild animal those comments show a lot of common sense.
