HE’S BACK!

The international break brings about many little joys…. no Premier League stress, a chance to enjoy the highest level of football in the world and the wonderful sound of silence.

Silence bought about by no Steve Kean press conferences.

Well strap yourself in ladies and gentleman because he’s back and he’s bought back with him his trusty bullshit machine.

Rovers currently lie second bottom of the division and face the only side below them tomorrow in a huge crunch game but the Rovers boss is of the belief that his team should be higher in the league and all the luck that has befell Rovers this season has been of a bad nature.

Kean told the Daily Mirror – “If you look at this season and the way we`re playing, we deserve more points and that`s coming from speaking to people like Harry Redknapp. He told me he felt we deserved a point when we lost to them.

“You speak with Andre Villas-Boas and John Terry, who came in to see me after our game with them [Chelsea]. Ashley Cole and Frank Lampard. They all said what a tough game we had given them.

“These guys don`t need to say that and I don`t think they say that week in, week out to other managers.

“I don`t look at this season in terms of trying to salvage something from it and I think we have a good enough squad to be in the top 10.”

Certainly Rovers have played well in the last three games but what about the ones before that?

Furthermore, sure we’ve had some misfortune but we have also had some good luck with matches against Arsenal and Fulham immediately springing to mind.

Anyhow, Kean is still adamant he can win around fans opposed to his reign and is using his own life experiences as a basis for that notion.

Kean continued – “I`d always like to think we can win them round,” he said. “I`m not one to say we`re never going to change anybody. I`ve seen vast changes in people in my life through different experiences and I would hope that the educated fan can understand it`s a transition period for the club.

“I know the players feel that and the owners feel that. Hopefully the few fans that don`t will turn that way too.”
