High Praise For Tugay

Mark Hughes has singled out 35 year old tough tackling midfielder Tugay for praise saying of this weekends performance: ‘I can’t remember him ever playing better than this, maybe when he was younger and feeling more energetic, but now he has the added benefit of experience.’

Tugay played a starring role in the 4-1 victory against Charlton on Saturday.

Hughes added ‘He’s been absolutely magnificent since I walked through the door and the quality that he has on the ball, he can set the tempo and momentum of the game and he was excellent once again.’
