In what seems to be one of the longest contract negotiations Rovers have ever seen, the club still cannot conclude a deal.

Junior Hoilett is one of the brightest young players in the Premier League right now, and would be in high demand should his contract run out with just 10 months remaining.

The youngster has been at Rovers since the age of 13 and both parties are keen for him to stay however there is one point which cannot be agreed on.

It is believed that the player wants a buyout clause, similar to the one which allowed Phil Jones to leave to Manchester United for less than his worth. Understandably Rovers do not want the clause and the negotiations seem to have reached a stalemate.

The club have agreed to pay the young Canadian a fee in the region of £35,000 per week and a 5 year deal, and only the buy out clause is yet to be sorted, however it looks like Rovers will settle on a fee in the region of £15 to£18 million eventually..
