Blackburn Rovers are hoping Junior Hoilett`s future will be sorted within the next fortnight as brace themselves for Juniors’ decision.

Rovers fear they could lose the battle to keep the young Canadian as he is free to talk to other clubs in January.

The club have made a significant contract offer to the 19-year-old but Junior has bided his time in the attempt to make the right decision.

The fear though lies in the considerable time and money spent on ensuring Hoilett got a work permit in the summer, something that Rovers had been trying to pull of since Hoilett was a young teenager!

But if Hoilett shuns the club and turns down the deal then Rovers risk letting him leave in the summer ad be compensated by tribunal as Hoilett is under 23.

Rovers boss Sam Allardyce is really keen on Hoilett though and is desperate to keep hold of him. Sam even considers Hoilett his best youth prospect in years.

In my opinion is it not right that David ‘Junior’ Hoilett shows a bit of loyalty to the club that staked so much effort and cash spent on him in attempt to bring him up to the highest level?!

This would be a right kick in the crackers for the club if Hoilett ups sticks and goes elsewhere after Rovers have been his rock over the last few years.

Come on Junior… sort it out.
