Rovers are sweating on the fitness of David Dunn for the remainder of the season after he picked up a calf injury on Monday night.

Dunn has a long history of niggles, cramps, pulls and injuries and the latest one came after a bout an hour of the 0-1 reverse to Man City on Monday night.

Dunn has been putting in a barnstorming performance up to that point but his latest setback could yet see him miss more than this weekend’s action.

However and here is a massive shock, Steve Kean is staying optimistic.

Kean told sky Sports – ‘David felt a strange feeling in his leg and came off’

‘We are hoping it is only fibres, rather than anything more serious.’

Here’s hoping, he is rated as doubtful for the crunch clash with Bolton on Saturday.
