A second half strike from Manchester United’s Louis Saha condemned Blackburn Rovers to a fourth straight Premiership defeat but manager Mark Hughes has no complaints.

Sparky said:

I don’t think we could have done any more.

We are hurting a little bit with the injuries we have to senior players but we asked questions of United and did more than most teams have this year.

Overall the level of performance was good, we hit the crossbar in the second half and had some good half-chances.

The goal was disappointing, we could have done more to cut out the ball across goal but I have nothing to say against the players.”

The former Manchester United star has also tipped his former side to go on and break Chelsea’s strangle hold on the Premiership, feeling they could maybe go all the way this season. He added:

They are playing very well, have the individual talent and they always come stronger in the second half of the season.

They have had a great start and it will take a good side to stop them winning it this season.”

This, as we all know was always going to be a difficult game (the contrasting form of each or not) but nevertheless I personally would have liked to have seen a little more from the guys as United seemed to win at a canter…
