Blackburn Rovers manager Mark Hughes was not happy with the performance his players gave during the defeat to West Ham United on Sunday afternoon.

Rovers were poor, they never really got going and couldn’t get any momentum going and went down to the defeat at Ewood Park after substitute Dean Ashton scored the winning goal. Hughes WASN’T amused, but he was also quick to say that he wants to move on from this quickly, as Rovers HAVE to!

Hughes told Sky Sports 1: “We never got anywhere near the levels we know we are capable of. Certainly in the first half our passing was extremely poor.

“We never really got any tempo or momentum to our play, and West Ham were quite comfortable.

“In the second half obviously we are disappointed with the goal that we conceded because it put us right on the back foot.

“After that point we tried to ask questions of them. We created some great chances, but it wasn’t our day. It is one of those that you have to draw a line under
