Hughes: Show Rovers Some Respect

Blackburn Rovers boss Mark Hughes has said what most; in fact all of us have been thinking for many months, in fact a year or more now? Rovers deserve more credit than we get.

Hughes is disappointed, if not paranoid (his own words) that Rovers still fail to gain the credit we so rightly deserve and wants us to be “held in a highest regard” and respected as we deserve to be. He told the Sun newspaper:

I don’t think we are getting the respect we deserve, but maybe I’m a bit paranoid.

We don’t go out to bang our own drum, but sometimes you feel you have to – and it’s not for myself, but for all the staff.

It’s important everyone at this club knows what we are trying to do and what we’ve had to put up with.

If that brings us closer as a group, so be it.”

In fairness more people are appreciating what is being done at Rovers with many complimentary of the way we now play and conduct ourselves and are not merely keeping us labelled with the “beat ’em up” tag we had a couple of years back, but even then lets face it we were literally fighting for our Premiership lives and needs must.

When all is said and done all that really matters is that the Rovers faithful know what we can do and appreciate this but even so it’s nice that others can appreciate this also; we are more than happy to appreciate what others do (most of us on vital Blackburn, if not all have and do!) so it is only right that others do likewise which the vast majority on vital football do yet you still get the small minority that are blinkered…
