Blackburn Rovers manager Mark Hughes is adamant that failure to secure a European place next season WONT mean that Rovers will have to sell players.

Hughes has admitted that failure to gain a place in next seasons UEFA Cup WILL severely hamper his chances of signing some players that he would’ve wanted, but INSISTS that missing out on Europe next season DOESN’T mean that players have to be sold.

Hughes told the Lancashire Telegraph: “There will always be interest in the better players at your club.

“That’s part and parcel of being manager; you always know that speculation is going to be there.

“But all our key players are basically contracted for the next two or three years, and we are not a selling club.

“If I feel there is a deal to be done, and it benefits Blackburn Rovers, then we do it.

“But we don’t have to sell anyone
.”

HOPEFULLY we will make the UEFA Cup (even if this means via the Intertoto Cup route) so we wont need to worry if this will be an issue anyway!!!
