Hughes: We’ll Give Liverpool A Game

Blackburn Rovers manager Mark Hughes is not fearing Liverpool at all, quite the opposite as he feels they will see this as one of the most difficult League matches of the season.

Going to Anfield isn’t easy for any side but Hughes is sending his troops to Liverpool on Sunday with NO FEAR, and is going looking for all three points!!! Sparky knows it’ll be a tough match for Rovers but he ALSO knows it’ll be the same for Liverpool. Both sides need to win, Liverpool to secure their Champions League place for next season and Rovers merely to aid the quest for UEFA Cup football again, be this via the competition outright or via the Intertoto Cup.

Hughes told the Official Blackburn Rovers Website: “Liverpool will know it is a difficult fixture in their calendar.

“We take pride in the fact that people view us as a difficult team to overcome
.”

Liverpool had a tough Champions League Quarter-Final with Arsenal at Anfield on Wednesday Evening, and although Sparky know that Liverpool manager Rafael Benitez has the players to cope with this he also hopes that they can suffer some fatigue (if we are lucky Benitez’s rotation policy will get the better of him as well!!!)

He added: “They’ve got the resources to cope with the amount of games that they are involved in, but we hope to catch them on a poor day, we’ll play well – I’m sure we will – because we invariably do when we go to Anfield, we’ll certainly give it our best shot as we always do.”
