The Blackburn Rovers battle to keep hold of Rudy Gestede (maybe others) this month is on going, however, speculation that Gestede could be off to The Premier League is growing.

Hull City and West Bromwich Albion are understood to be “rivalling” each other for the Benin International. The Lancashire Telegraph says that we’ve not had any offers come in for the twenty-six-year-old yet (even though Sky Sports News claims that Hull are “planning” a £4.5million bid) but we’ve had some “tentative enquires” come in.

Hull tried to sign Jordan Rhodes during the Summer Transfer Window, having failed with that attempt they could view Rudy as a cheaper option, however, with twelve goals from twenty-four appearances this season he’ll score them goals.

As much as we’ll not want to lose anyone this month the reality could be that if some £5million came in for him we’ll find it hard to refuse as it’ll help our financial situation without (we’d hope) impacting too significantly on our faltering play-off hopes with others of a similar style to Rudy capable of coming in.
