Blackburn Rovers manager Paul Ince was left with a range of different emotions following the 1-1 draw with Middlesbrough at Ewood Park on Saturday Evening, but all in all he was happy.

Tuncay’s second half goal looked like it was going to see Rovers beaten but an injury-time header from Benni McCarthy ensured that we secured a point, which was the least that Ince felt we deserved.

Ince said: “I am delighted and I’m a bit angry and annoyed.

“It would have been a travesty if we had come away from that game with nothing. I have told the lads when you are on top you need to take your chances.

McCarthy came on in the second half and his last gasp header earned us a share of the spoils, and Incey again stressed that he has a big part to play in his future plans.

He added: “I always said when I first came to Blackburn if we get a fit and hungry Benni McCarthy he will always be in my side.

“He’s a fantastic guy, he’s always smiling and he does try hard.
