Milton Keynes Dons manager Paul Ince has revealed that he is flattered to be linked with the vacant Blackburn Rovers job, but no contact has yet been made with him.

Ince, who last season led MK Dons to the League Two Title and the Johnstone’s Paint Trophy has been mentioned as one of the candidates to take over at Ewood Park, but as flattered as he is to have been mentioned in connection to the position he insists that no approach has been made to him yet, and he doesn’t even know if it will?

Ince told BBC Radio Five Live: “I’ve not spoken to Blackburn.

“It’s flattering to be linked with any job, especially in the Premier League, so it goes to show that I have done OK in my management career.”

“There’s nothing concrete (to the Blackburn link).

“I’m not sure what the situation is and in the next two or three days I’ll probably have a better idea of what’s going on
.”

Ince is currently happy with the Dons, however, he feels that he is more than capable of managing in the Premier League, but he is in now hurry to do so just yet.

He added: “I believe in time I will get to the Premier League it’s just a case of when I want to take that leap,’ said the 37-year-old.

“At the moment I’m enjoying my time in Milton Keynes. We had a wonderful season last year and as I sit here I am preparing for next season so we’ll see what happens
.”

Question marks over his ability to manage at Ewood (qualification wise) have been raised but his ability to manager at the highest level is something that I wouldn’t have thought many would have that much worry about?
