Blackburn Rovers manager Paul Ince has said that there will be no more departures from Ewood Park this summer.

Brad Friedel has left for Aston Villa with David Bentley going to Tottenham Hotspur, but that will be the lot according to Ince, despite the speculation linking others (including Benni McCarthy, Stephen Warnock and Roque Santa) with moves away from Ewood.

Ince told the Lancashire Evening Telegraph: “The door is shut now.

“The players can’t go, full stop. Clubs are trying to unsettle some of my players.

“I don’t like it. It’s my first job in the Premier League and the last thing I want to do is sell my best players.

“Benni is definitely one of them and there’s plenty more. As far as I’m concerned, the situation is closed.

“There’s always going to be speculation about players, but I can categorically say, 100 per cent, that nobody will be leaving this club
.”

Hopefully this WILL prove the case, however, the national media are BOUND to continue to say otherwise!!!

Meanwhile Paul Gallagher has turned down the chance of a loan spell with Norwegian club Viking Stavanger.

Former Rovers striker Egil Ostenstad (who is now the Sports Director at Viking) has claimed an interest in Gallagher but the Scot wasn’t prepared to uproot his family to go to Norway for the season, but could still be sent out on loan YET AGAIN to a club closer to home.

Ostenstad told Aftenbladet: “We are looking at various options.

“Some have been known in the media, others not so well known.

“Blackburn were willing to loan out Paul Gallagher. But the player himself wanted to stay in England.

“Thus the option fell through
.”
