Some injuries worry updates for you all for tomorrows trip to Craven Cottage.

Here is the latest.

David Dunn and Vince Grella are both definitely out of the squad. Both have injuries – Vinnie’s is a fresh groin pull picked up v Everton and Dunny is not fully fit after coming back from (another) injury.

Roque Santa Cruz, Paul Robinson and Jason Brown are doubtful but could/should make it back.

Out of those three Robbo is the most likely to be missing, however old gobby himself Santa Cruz looks very doubtful. Brown should start in net however, if he doesn’t then Mark Bunn will start between the white shiny things.

The good news is that Gael Givet is DEFINITELY in the squad.

Assuming everthing pans out how it looks then Rovers should line up 4-5-1 with the following personnel (assumming Gobby is injured).

Brown

Ooooooijer
Nelsen
Samba
Givet

Diouf
Warnock
Andrews
Axe
Gamst Pedersen

Roberts.

Of course there is also the option of Benni McCarthy coming in and it being a 4-4-2 in which case the Sun should have a field day with their Blobby replaces Gobby headlines.

Axe, you would think would make way.

  • Good news on the Givet front indeed. Big Sam must be tempted to put 2 up top tonight I would think (the Axe AND Andrews would be exceptionally negative, as neither can pass for toffee)…. Argh, I can’t choose who to vote for in the poll, Rednap, Lawro and Gray are all so bad they make my ears bleed!

  • It is a tough choice on the poll – many options appeal! And Kenny – yes Gobby is RSC. He got that nickname by pressing “subtly” for a move in Jan. Once he has kept us up you can over pay for him all you like!

  • Lawro is definately the most annoying. Why is Lee Dixon on there!? He’s quality. Peter ‘State the bleeding obvious’ Schmeichal should be on there instead. With the lack of options up front, I think he’ll play one up there, probably Roberts (unless Benni Mac has gone the cereal diet and lost 2 dress sizes in a week!), with maybe Diouf playing in behind, and Gamst in his least favourite right sided role…

  • i was at the fulham v hull game last week doing a bit of scouting…. we have to get into pantsil’s face (RB) he looks very nervy when under pressure and cant tackle. There is not much point hoofing down the middle as the got that big man hengeland(not sure how to spell it) and he wins everything………… 4-5-1 will be the best formation to play imo as it will give us a defensive platform to build on, not giving their creative midfield alot of time on the ball! C’mon Rovers
