Not the best of news for Rovers fans this morning. Paul Robinson was forced of at half time after a collision with Hull City’s Michael Turner. Turner picked up a yellow and Robinson was rushed of for scans.

With Allardyce initially downplaying the injury, it has come to a shock for all concerned that Robinson has suffered shoulder ligament damage. Paul has been an everpresent figure in the Rovers line up since signing from Tottenham. However, it does give our Number 2, Jason Brown, the opportunity to really show what his worth.

In other related news, Mark Bunn has been recalled from his loan spell at Leicester, making him our Number 3 goal keeper at the moment.

Fingers crossed a speedy recovery for Robinson!!!

  • I am willing to have my mind changed about Brown and for the sake of Rovers and the season i hope I do… I just cant see him being a 1st choice keeper for a Premier League team…

  • Is Robinson the brick wall?? haha seriously though glad to see Robbo getting some form back, shame about the injury.

  • fully confident in jason i think he can play well and if he does he may push robbo for the 1st team jersey when he gets back

  • It’s a bad thing, but Brown is an able deputy as he has proved in the past and as he proved against Everton. The real test if what happens when Robbo is back?!?! If he goes straight back in then I expect Brown will think enough is enough. However, Brown looked like he picked up a groin strain!!!
