Blackburn will have Danny Graham back in the squad for the match at Aston Villa on Saturday with the former Sunderland striker poised to return from injury suffered against Birmingham last month.

He’s been back in training this week with Owen Coyle confirming to that he’ll ‘certainly’ be in his matchday squad.

‘Danny Graham has trained well with the group this week so with that in mind he’ll certainly be added to the squad.’

Charlie Mulgrew’s latest setback saw him forced off against Wolves in last Saturday’s draw but the withdrawal of the former Celtic midfielder was made early enough to cause serious concern.

The Scottish international will also be available.

‘Charlie will be available for Aston Villa. The intention last week at Wolves was for him to be on the bench, but given the injuries, he wanted to be out there to help the team.’

Blackburn will head to Villa Park without the likes of Derrick Williams, Adam Henley and Elliott Ward though with former Manchester United and England defender Wes Brown still in need of matches before the veteran is used.

Coyle finished by saying those that are in the squad, whoever they are, at Villa Park have to be ready to ‘give their best.’

‘That is where we are, we’ve never had that luxury of having everybody available, but we have to make sure that the ones that we do have available are ready to give their very best going into a big game on Saturday.’
