Blackburn were able to beat Ipswich to the signing of Liam Feeney when Owen Coyle brought him to the club recently after he left Bolton but now reports in the Sun are saying the Tractor Boys are eyeing up one of our players to fill the wing void.

Elliott Bennett is ‘on the radar’ of Mick McCarthy?

Former Brighton winger Bennett, who signed for Blackburn on a permanent basis from Norwich, is wanted by the Canaries’ rivals Ipswich with his proven Championship ability thought to appeal to McCarthy.

Coyle did use Bennett in the opening pre-season win over SV Ried in Austria on Saturday but with him having several wingers to select from he could be tempted into selling the 27-year-old if the price is right.

When he arrived in January, signed by former boss Paul Lambert (with Bennett expressing his disappointment when he left), he did sign a two-and-a-half-year contract so there’s no pressure to sell but if Ipswich do offer a temping amount you feel he ‘might’ become one we’ll let go.

Do you think Bennett will leave? Would you allow it?
