Jason Brown sticks the knife in

Jason Brown has declared that his time at Rovers is coming to an end.

With his contract up in the summer and the chances of him breaking into the first team remote, it seems like a good call to search for a new place of employment. We’d all do it if that was the case.

What we wouldn’t do however is taking a thinly veiled parting shot at the people who had paid my wages for the last 5 years whilst having the safety barrier of the Pennines over at Leeds United.

Jason Brown told the Lancashire Telegraph: ‘My contract at Blackburn finishes at the end of the season and I made it clear to them in the summer that I was very much looking for another club.

I am excited to be at Leeds on loan. It would be a great club maybe to come back to if all goes well.

I am working as hard as I can in training and if I get another opportunity in the first team I want to make the most of it.

‘As good a club as Blackburn are, they don’t get crowds of 25,000, even for the visit of Manchester United, so it is a privilege to be at Leeds.’

Anyone fancy pointing out to Browny that a quick trip to Rovers own website will show him that last season’s attendance for the Man United fixture was 29,912.

Take it more gracefully Jason.
