Rovers midfielder and up and comer Jason Lowe is set to head out on loan to join Nick Blackman at Aberdeen.

Blackman is already up North freezing his balls off with Craig Brown’s boys and Lowe is looking to join him as the immediate chance of him getting in the Rovers first team look slim with two key midfielders and Vince Grella returning to the side.

The BBC are reporting – ‘Aberdeen should complete the loan signing of Blackburn Rovers teenager Jason Lowe at the start of next week.

Lowe will feature for Blackburn in their FA Cup fourth-round tie against Aston Villa on Saturday before heading north to complete the deal.

The 19-year-old has played twice for the Rovers first-team this season and is an England Under-19 international.

The central midfielder will join Ewood team-mate Nick Blackman at Pittodrie as Craig Brown restructures the Dons.’
