Jason Roberts is set to boost the ranks this weekend with a timely return.

The Lancashire Telegraph is reporting that J-Rob should be good to go this weekend with Samba being moved back into the defence after being forced to play as an emergency striker in recent weeks.

Roberts has been out of action with a stress fracture to his foot since the dramatic win over Spurs a month ago and Rovers have missed his presence and pace up front.

This looks like a great boost for everyone at Rovers as we look for the win that would more or less guarantee safety.

I feel good, der der der der….

  • This is great news, one mroe back in the starting line up and we can now move Samba back to defence…. get in.

  • Samba has to be back in defence – it’s Crouch we’re playing against remember. Great news that we finally have a striker who gives a **** in the line-up. At least JR can never be faulted for effort, even if he misses a few. Roll on saturday.

  • Roberts will prob be on the bench, there’s no way he could be fit enough to play a whole game, either that or he’s being rushed back?!?!? I would love to see him play with Carlos though, he would create so much space for the wee man..but i’ll be glad to see him back none the less…at least as was said above he gives his all to the cause, even if he is/was never the most prolific
