Blackburn have appointed former Denmark international midfielder John Jensen as the new assistant manager to rookie boss Steve Kean.

Jensen has been signed on a six month deal that will take him till the end of the season initially but that deal will be extended if he impresses.

Jensen is most famous for scoring in the Euro 92 final against Germany but has been making some inroads into the assistant manager world with some stellar work on the continent.

He has previously been an assistant to Danish national team (under Michael Laudrup) and La Liga team Getafe.
