Jonesy lends a supporting word

Manchester United’s Phil Jones has backed Rovers to improve after seeing his old club plummet down the table to the 20th (and last) position that they occupy at the moment.

Jones moved from Rovers to United over the summer but admits he stills keeps an eye out for the team he supports after every game and has even suggested that the current league standing is a false portrait of the true ability at the disposal of Steve Kean.

Jones told United Review – ‘I’m still a massive fan and have a lot of friends at the club.’

‘As soon as we come off the pitch I always look to see how Blackburn have got on. I am sure they will kick on and things will improve.

‘Unfortunately they are at the bottom of the table but they are a lot better than their league position shows.’
