We’ve heard Ex Ewood Resident’s views of the Jason Roberts Foundation launch. Here is a summary of the charity auction and some of its highlights.

Tuesday Evenings charity auction at the launch of the Jason Roberts Foundation raised over £4,500, with Wigan Athletic’s Matt Jackson buying the most expensive item, a horseracing package donated by Willie McKay, costing £800.

Mark Hughes also purchased a personal suit fitting by Nicholas Jones for £550; no doubt he’ll now be looking as smooth as ever on the touchline.

The highlight was a bidding war between Jason and Benni for a Rovers shirt signed by Andy Cole. Neither gave up until Jason pushed up Benni’s winning bid to £500!

Key football people in attendance to support the event included directors of Blackburn Rovers, Mark Hughes, Jason Roberts, Cyrille and David Regis, Benni McCarthy, David Dunn, Paul Gallacher, Steven Reid, Matt Jackson and Andy Cole.
