Judge open to Brentford switch

Alan Judge is very much keeping his options open over his future at Rovers, with his lack of games at Ewood Park meaning he could seek a more permanent departure than his current temporary stay at Brentford.

After a spell on the bench, Judge moved to Brentford in January to chase more games, something he has found in League 1 at the Bees, starting 15 games.

And with a continued starting spot very much at the forefront of his desires, Judge has confirmed today he is open to a switch in the summer if the prospect of being overlooked at Rovers is to continue.

Judge is quoted on the Sky Sports website as saying – “I`m not sure what`s happening at Blackburn. I`ll have to speak to the manager there but that won`t be sorted until the start of pre-season.

“I`ve still got another couple of years left on my contract, but I want to play football, that`s the type of person I am.

“I started the first five games of the season but my little girl was born and then I found myself out of the team for eight weeks.

“If I`m surplus to requirements then Brentford would be one of the clubs I would love to come to.”

Given the benefit of hindsight it is strange that we loaned Judgey out in the window, with the likes of Liam Feeney coming into the squad to cover the wing spots.
