You’ve always got to go through life being prepared for the worst to happen, of course not necessarily planning for it, but as much as Blackburn WILL enjoy success in League One under Tony Mowbray what would happen if that wasn’t the case?
Confidence is high that Blackburn will bounce back from Championship relegation at the first attempt, going up from League One as champions; no less than 68% took such a view in a recent poll.
However, for arguments sake, if Rovers didn’t secure an instant Championship return what would happen to Mowbray? Would Ewood Park still hold a place for him?
Should it look like Blackburn aren’t going up this season would Venky’s get an itchy trigger finger and ensure he didn’t see out the 2017-18 campaign? Would Mowbray walk, or be given another chance, if the clear mandate from this season of promotion isn’t achieved.
I know; this isn’t something to ponder but what if… what will happen to the boss?
Vital Blackburn’s poll asks
We’ll go up (as Champions) BUT if not what happens to Mowbray
What the Vital Blackburn members can vote
He’d be sacked
Mowbray would resign
He’ll get another season
Not contemplating non-promotion scenario
