Rovers are busy trimming their squad whilst actively trying to add to it with two fringe players set to leave Ewood Park in the next few hours.

The club have confirmed that Niko Kalinic is set to complete his protracted switch to Ukranian side Dnipro in due course.

Further to that, fan favourite (cough cough) Keith Andrews is set to move a slightly lesser distance to the exotic delights of Ipswich, initially on loan.

Kean told Rovers Official Website – ‘Niko Kalinic’s transfer is just about to be completed in the Ukraine, whilst Keith Andrews has had four or five other clubs chasing him, which is no surprise (ed – what?).

‘So I think that one will also be done and dusted today where Keith will go on a loan basis to Ipswich start with, it is a loan with a view to purchasing him.

‘I think Keith will do well, they’ve obviously had a very good start.

‘We wish them all the best this coming season.’
