Nikola Kalinic has given Blackburn Rovers boss Sam Allardyce a little bit of food for thought after he hit the goal trail in a specially arranged private match against Burnley last night.

The £6 million striker bagged his first goal for Rovers in the closed door game and got a full 90 minute run out – with a Mikey mole suggesting that Kalinic looked sharper and better than anything so far as he builds up to full fitness.

After the match Nikola has blasted off (no not in a rocket) to play for Croatia and Slaven Bilic. He hopes to take part in games against Belarus and England.

In other goods news Michel Salgado also looked a lot fitter as he managed a full game as well and put in a good shift.

The final score was 4-1 for those who want to know!
