Rovers manager Steve Kean has again reiterated his desire to keep hold of Junior Hoilett, 12 months after declaring that it was nailed on he’d sign a new deal.

Hoilett will be free to talk to other clubs in due course and although Rovers will be due compensation under terms of law it is likely the figure that they receive will not reach his current market value.

The rather shiny headed one has however acknowledged (sort of) that there is interest and not just from in the UK.

The Rovers boss rather hopelessly told Sky Sports News – ‘I don’t think it is going to be just clubs in this country.

‘I’m told that there is interest from abroad. I can understand why because he has had some great performances, not only this season, but the past couple of seasons.

‘We’ll make a last-ditch effort to put something in front of him. You never know.’
